MEMBERSHIPS
As the economy tries to make the turn for the better, it is extremely
important for us to keep the current members we have (you) and grow our
membership by 10-15% in 2010. We need you to be our best
salespersons. Try to sell Silo Ridge to everyone you know that is
not a member. It will benefit the club and you personally by
receiving credits for a new member

Summer Days at Silo
Silo Ridge has
certainly experienced some challenging weather over
the past 60 days but the course remains in great
shape. Courses locally and nationally are
closing daily due to poor green conditions due in
large part to the heat and or rain/heat combination.
Please look around and be proud of the golf course
we have and don't forget to thank your maintenance
crew for their efforts at Silo Ridge.
Doing Your Part
Your efforts can be a huge influence on teh overall
condition of our golf course. We have posted
signs in the carts asking golfers to fix ball marks
and to follow the daily cart rule.
GOLF CARTS-The summer drought and excessive
heat prompted us to ask golfers to drive carts on
paths or in the fairways only. That means
walking a little more but it will help keep the
rough from getting completely burned up and cart
trampled.
BALL MARKS-Our greens tend to show ball
marks more than others due in large part to
incorrectly fixing the mark or not fixing it at all.
Take a glance at the cart sign to be sure you are
fixing your marks properly.
Guest Day
Many of you are
still unaware of the new Guest Day at Silo Ridge.
For those that aren't aware, please read the pro

The Pro's Corner
Despite a flailing economy and an
usually dry and hot summer, Silo Ridge has had a
fantastic golf year. The great thing about it
though is that we have plenty of golf still to play this
fall. Fall golf features ideal course conditions
and fun tournaments including the annual Couples
Tournament, the Fall Classic, Fall Fiasco, and Silo
Slaughter.
We have all heard the horror stories about courses
closing due to course conditions especially the greens.
Our course has been stressed but it continually gets
compliments from tournament patrons. Be proud!
Our leagues have exceeded expectations with amazing
turnouts. The Nooners featured 41 players last
Wednesday and the Monday Nite ladies have had 16
players. Men's League continues to be strong with
60-70 players each week.
Our tournaments which can be an inconvenience to you the
member, have been surprising too. We actually had
more events this year than last and had higher numbers
in those respective numbers.
We know we offer a tremendous value with our
memberships. Due in large part to the course
conditions and the people of Silo Ridge, we have signed
up 50 new members bringing our total near 295 golf
members.
We will be needing all of you this fall and next spring
for a huge membership push. The plan will be
revealed soon and it will be a huge benefit to you and
Silo Ridge to pursue members. We need to get to
330 members by next May.
The golf shop has increased sales from 2009 which says a
tremendous amount for our members and their loyalty.
We truly appreciate you buying equipment from us and
hope you continue this in 2011. Be thinking about
what you can spend your credit books on this fall.
Let's continue these positives into the fall. We
ask these things from you:
-Start a list of prospective members
-Call other members you haven't seen playing much and
invite them to play
-Continue to spread the word about Silo Ridge and
encourage people to come see the place and also try
Mulligans
THANKS for being members with us at Silo Ridge!

GOLF MERCHANDISE
Please do not wait until December
to spend your credit books. We have the shop fully
stocked for your convenience throughout the golf season.
If we don't have what you want, we will place special
orders up until December.
Fall Clothing Arriving September 1st! Be the first
to sport the new goods from your Silo Ridge golf shop!
TOURNAMENTS
As the
tournament schedule gets a little hectic, please look at
the calendar or call out for a tee time to be sure the
course is not closed. We will always strive to
accommodate our members opposite golf tournaments. If
we have an afternoon tourney, we will offer times prior
except on Mondays. Thanks and we appreciate your
understanding of the necessity of these outside
tournaments. IF THE CALENDAR SAYS COURSE
CLOSED, PLEASE RESPECT IT.

1st, Silo members can bring up to 3 guests out on
